René M. La Barre. Founder / Partner

René has more than two decades of Wealth Management experience in four continents with the global industry leader. He has a broad range of experience in setting up and managing award-winning multicultural teams who help HNWI and UHNWI families mostly from the Emerging Markets to reach their financial goals.

René obtained both a civil law master’s degree in Switzerland as well as a common law master’s degree in the US, and is a highly regarded international professional in the Wealth Planning field, with an outstanding track record in both the creation and management of sophisticated Wealth Planning structures and other tax planning solutions, mainly for Latin American families. René obtained the Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA) certification in 2019 and a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Compliance Management at the Executive School of the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland a year later.

René also has gained vast experience as a board member and president of Chambers of Commerce, operating Companies in the Financial Service sector, as well as operating Companies in the Oil and Gas sector. René is the founder and partner of Global Wealth Management Consulting GmbH which helps HNWI and UHNWI families with an emphasis on Emerging Markets to reach their financial goals mainly concerning succession and tax planning topics. Global Wealth Management Consulting GmbH also assists banks and Family Offices in defining and implementing the Wealth and Tax planning strategies for their clients.
